Sweet Lotus Creations opened for business in 2004. I had been battling with an unknown skin disorder since mid-2000 with no results using traditional medicines. As an asthmatic, I was also having difficulty finding and affording, quality bath and body products that did not bother my asthma either from harsh chemicals being absorbed into my skin, or being overcome with strong fragrances. I was tired of paying high prices for products that left my skin dry, itchy and flaky. After doing research on some of the commercial products I had been using, I realized most of what was in those products was harmful chemicals. I began further researching how to make products that would actually benefit my skin. I started making cold process soaps for myself, my friends and family. I quickly added other bath and body products and it grew from there. Within six months of using my own homecrafted soaps and skin products, my skin condition cleared and has not returned. I also enjoy as many bath and body products now as I want that do not irritate my asthma.
This is a professional home-based business. I make all of my own products in small batches in my kitchen. I am passionate about what I do and do my very best to reflect that in the quality of my products. They are all free of harsh preservatives, harsh chemicals and other harsh additives. I make each and every product by hand, package, label, and ship them to ensure the high-quality product for my customers.
Some of the high quality ingredients used in my products are Aloe Vera Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Hempseed Oil, Jojoba, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Unrefined African Shea Butter, and Unrefined Cocoa Butter, just to name a few.
My products are friendly to the environment, friendly to animals, and friendly to you and your skin. While most of my products contain only plant based ingredients, there may be a few that contain animal products. These items will be clearly identified on my website. When animal products are used, I am careful to purchase them in their cleanest and purest form possible.
